The Land

In last January (2017) we bought a land in Melton South about 50 minutes' drive (45km) or 45 minutes' train ride from Melbourne. The closest train station to the land is Melton South, which is about 7 minutes from the house. Yes, this may not be the hottest suburb but it was with in our budget. On the plus side the future Cobblebank train station is only 3 minutes away, which I think will take about another 7 - 10 years to be built :). The land is in Diamond Rise estate , close to large Atherstone estate developed by Lendlease. I think Diamond Rise was bit cheaper than Atherstone, probably because Diamond Rise developers did not have to construct all the amenities as Lendlease constructed everything for them. In fact we saw blocks close to our land being advertised $40000 more than the price we bought. It is a decent sized 400sqm block with a 12.5m east facing frontage, no easement. Only concern is there is a train track about 80m from the block, hopefully it won't be too ...
